Disneyland 2013

When I started nursing school in January of 2012, I knew I was putting the rest of my life on hold, mostly vacations.  Justin told me that if I made it through the program we could go to Disneyland.  Some days, this promise was the only thing that kept me going :) 

In the beginning of December we took a VERY quick trip to Disneyland with Justin's family.  We left on Wednesday and drove straight through, I was dreading this drive but it actually wasn't that bad!  We went into Disneyland on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Then on Sunday we got up early and drove all the way home.  The drive home was horrible!!!  We were all soooo tired, plus driving home isn't near as fun as driving somewhere!  Here is a picture overload of our vacation.

The last night Justin's parents went home early. The rest of us went to ride Splash Mountain, there was no line so the workers let us stay on the ride SIX times in a row!!!  We wore ponchos and made "poncho cocoons" so we were able to stay mostly dry :)

This was a perfect time to go to Disneyland!  The weather was awesome, the crowds weren't bad and I think everyone should see Disneyland dressed up for Christmas at least one time in their life! 

Birthday Shenanigans

For my birthday this year Justin planned everything.  He wouldn't tell me anything we were going to do!  I have a love/hate relationship with surprises.  The morning started off early, with Justin going to work and me studying for the NCLEX that I was taking just days later. 
At noon, Kip and Ame planned a little birthday party at the shop for my mom and me (our birthdays are the same day, didn't my mom get the BEST present ever???)  I didn't take any pics of this for some reason, but we had pizza and salad, German chocolate cake and even ice cream!! (My sisters really went all out!)
Justin and I then left the shop so he could give me my gifts of love and we could start our special outing!  Justin gave me a new digital camera, I love it, and have been wanting one for some time!!  Then he took me to the Living Planet Aquarium!  It was SOOO much fun!

 Ever since shark week we've been obsessed with Megaladon, so of course we had to get this pic!  He could really be out there..

  For dinner we went to Mi Ranchito, one of my favorite restaurants.  Then we went to get sherbet at the Purp, which didn't even last long enough for a picture..
